Authors

Dr Remo Burkhard

An average skilled language learner from Switzerland. He is a typical full time professional from ETH Zurich and vasp datatecture GmbH with little or no time for learning a new language. Nonetheless, he started learning Mandarin as a hobby and received the Mandarin HSK Level 3 certification after about 3 years of learning. He can now engage in casual conversations. While doing so he found out that memorising a few well thought conversation snipplets will allow beginners to engage in Mandarin faster and more successfully. The ice breaker trick is to avoid typical school book sentences and include up-to date cultural insider knowledge.

Kaitlin Kang Yuchun

Is a full time professional teacher of Mandarin for foreigners. She has trained executives in all industries, as well as Mandarin students and children. Her passion is to develop and apply new methods for accelerated Mandarin learning.

Together, they wrote nine lessons for their clients and friends and the feedback was so good that everyone encouraged the two authors to develop this iPhone App.
